What to wear to beat the heat

They don’t call Queensland the ‘Sunshine State’ for nothing. The mercury has been pushing close to 40 degrees Celsius in Brisbane over the last few days so light, cool attire has been an absolute must. When temperatures pick up and humidity is at an all time high, there is nothing worse than wearing heavy, clingy or dark clothes and as you would be well aware by now white is a huge trend this season; as are shift dresses. So it was half my luck to spot this stunning Lulu & Rose shift from David Jones during the Boxing Day sales. It has become my life saviour during this incredible heat. Loose and breathable its kept me nice and cool; and while shift dresses are notorious for being unforgiving for your figure, the textured panel through the waist shows you off in a careful, flattering way.

Dress: Lulu & Rose    Heels: Michael Kors    Sunglasses: Versace
