What you will be wearing in 2015

The new year is finally here and with it comes a wave of new trends we will be lusting after in the coming months. Fashion is always about looking forward, never looking back – that’s why the start of a new year is the perfect time to overhaul your wardrobe and add a few of these 2015 favourites.

A personal favourite. Nothing says understated Parisian chic like a crisp white shirt dress. LOVE this look.

Monochrome is always sleek and elegant. You will always look on point in a black leather crop with a monochrome skirt like pictured below. The way the monochrome trend is being styled at the moment by the best in the business reminds me of this quote by Yohji Yamamoto.

“Black is modest and arrogant at the same time. Black is lazy and easy – but mysterious. But above all black says this: ‘I don’t bother you – don’t bother me’. ”

As they say a leopard never changes their spots and my gosh I hope I never have to. I love, love, love spots and am so glad to see them making a splash in 2015. Spots just scream fun in the most sophisticated way.

Kimono style trench

Moving on through the year and towards the cooler months the kimono style trench, particularly in nude is going to be a huge hit. Tuula is always ahead of the curve and this trench is absolutely perfect.

All white errything

I usually identify with the quote “my style – it’s black and it’s expensive” and am never too far from a LBD. However if my boxing day purchases are anything to go by (4 pure white and 2 black and white pieces) white is ‘white hot’ (sorry for such a terrible pun, I had to!) this year. Fresh, crisp and clean, white is the colour of summer ’15.

Well I bet you never thought you’d see the day I promote flat shoes here on Watt To Wear! As you know I wear my stilettos to the grocery store so this is huge but I just can’t get enough of these Tony Bianco flats (maybe it’s just the spots?) and it seems everyone else in the fashion bloggesphere feels the same. Flats are back, baby. Of course only for the times you are looking for that ‘off duty’ look, naturally.
