Mercedes-Benz Fashion Festival Brisbane DAY 1

Premier Campbell Newman officially declared the 2014 Mercedes-Benz Fashion Festival Brisbane open last night at the beginning of the Myer Spring/Summer 15 fashion show. Iconic Australian designer Alex Perry was in attendance to watch his collection on the runway however it was Toni Maticevski’s sculptural pieces that stole the show.

Aurelio Costarella showed vibrant hues of pink in incredible textures.

By Johnny is quickly becoming one of my favourite labels with this stunning pastel collection.

Great prints from Cue.

Sleek, classic lines in monochrome reigned supreme for Jayson Brunsdon’s Black Label.

After the closure of her self titled label, Lisa Ho returned to designing with L Lisa Ho which is exclusive to Myer.

Little Joe Woman by Gail Elliott was another standout from the show. This must be in my closest immediately if not sooner!

Incredible monochrome chic from Sass and Bide.

And as always Wayne Cooper delivered the goods with unique lines on classic wardrobe staples.

The opening runway show of the 2014 Mercedes-Benz Fashion Festival was a complete success and it is now certain that I am going to be one very broke girl after seeing so many items I simply ‘have to have’. For the event I chose the Due East Asymmetrical dress by Manning Cartell.
