Ever since Carrie Bradshaw wore that John Galliano for Dior newspaper print dress on Sex and the City, every girl I know (myself included) has wanted to emulate this look at some point. After much searching for this illusive print I finally came across this itsy-bitsy newspaper print dress online and had to have it. The perfect occasion to wear it soon arose and that was the celebration of receiving great end of year university results – and as my degree is in journalism, what an apt dress this would be for the occasion. The dress wasn’t without it’s problems though, it didn’t have much shape to it and even after being taken in down the sides it still made me look like I had no shape at all. To combat this I found a very simple Bardot belt to cinch me in at the waist and give me some curves without taking any attention away from the dress. A small coin was also added to a little pocket of lace dangling inside the cowl neckline just to keep it in place. Add my favourite, trusty black heels and clutch, some silver jewellery and bright nail polish to give the outfit a little colour and here you have my version of that iconic Ms Bradshaw look.
