Casual chic for Matt Corby concert

Brisbane got a little more gorgeous last night as Matt Corby performed live at the Convention Center to a very vocal and enthusiastic crowd. The heartthrob singer blew away the audience with his incredible vocal range and causal but often funny on stage demeanor.   When it came to choosing an outfit for the concert I must admit I was a little stuck. Matt Corby has such a wide range of fans from young teen girls to hippies to middle aged men, I knew there would be a huge variance in the outfits worn by other concert goers. I was also aware that this would be quite a chilled affair, not a dance pop concert like Pink a few months ago so I had to avoid being too overdressed. As I perused my wardrobe I tried on a few dresses but a dress didn’t seem right for this occasion, then I spotted these shorts.

Gold metallic shorts seemed like the perfect answer! Dressy enough because of the print yet still casual, teamed with a white shirt it proved to be the casual chic I needed for the concert.

It also gave me an excuse to use my new favourite Prada inspired clutch and paint my nails bright red to give the outfit a little hit of colour.
