Wonderful Winter Woollies!

Today Brisbane discovered winter is definitely on it’s way! With the mercury struggling to reach the low 20’s, cloudy skies and a downpour of rain it was time to pull the winter woollies out of the wardrobe and get excited about winter. While there is nothing better than basking in the great Aussie sunshine of Summer, the fashions of Winter are seriously fun. There is so much more you can do to accessorize your outfits by adding scarves, hats, coats, tights…the list goes on.

Here are some of my favourite coats and winter accessories that I can’t wait to wear this year!

Events Coat with detachable faux fur collar. I love the flared bottom!

Events coat in a stunning purple with ruffle detail around the neck and cuffs.

Events again (sensing a theme here?!) Cream, fish scaled, double breasted coat with waist tie. This coat is lighter than the previous two thus allowing more opportunities to wear in different climates and making it perfect to travel with.

Bardot faux fur coat. I bought this on a whim, never thinking i’d get much wear out of it yet I wore it constantly last winter. Super comfortable, warm and absolutely gorgeous! Perfect to dress up a simple pair of leggings and to ensure you look fabulous no matter what else you have on.

Forever New 100% genuine leather jacket. This is my lucky charm, I found this brand new $275 jacket in a thrift shop for $30! Bargain!!

Valley Girl. Once again I bought this on a whim with no idea where I would wear it yet it always looks fabulous over a cocktail dress on a cold night out. It’s actually been a struggle to keep this jacket in my possession as my sister has tried to steal it more times than I can count!

And finally my new little hat from my favourite store, Something About Audrey. A felt hat is a winter essential and can take any outfit from average to absolutely fabulous.
